What is drop-shipping ?
Dropshipping is an order fulfillment method that does not require a business to
keep products in stock.
Instead, the store sells the product, and passes on the sales order to a
third-party supplier, who then ships the order to the customer.
Dropshipping is not really a big deal something, infact it may be something
you’ve being doing lowkey.
Let me just give you a simplified meaning of dropshipping
‘Lets assume your friend Johnson is selling a particular products,
Lets assume he sells male designer shoes and wears…
So you just have to walk up to him,and tell him you will like to help him sell his products, that can he dropship?
If he said yes he dropships then you’re good to go…
The next thing is that you will need to get the full details about the price, like
the neccessary details.
You will need details like the price of the products and negotiate with him.
You will also need promotional materials like the pictures of the products and
all that.. Easy Right?
Imagine you don’t even have to buy the products from him and stock It,
amazing right?
Follow me we’re not done yet.
So now that you have collected and note all the neccesary details you needed
to dropship Johnson’s products successully,
what next?
Yea now that you have all the details about the product, the next thing is to add
your own profits to the product.
Assumimg Johnson sells the product for N15,000 So you can decide to add
N5,000 or N10,000 to the product price and sell it for N20,000 or N25,000
even more…
its all depends on who you’re selling to, (your target audience)
Now that you already have a price tag for the product, what you need next
Is to look for those that needs the product and sell to them.
So how will you know the people that needs that product? You will discover
very soon in this guide…
So lets assume you already have people that needs the product or you have
audience that you wants to sell to….. so how will you go about it?
Here is what its takes to go about the dropshipping process
You will use the promotional materials you collected from the person that sells
the product (Johnson)
It can be graphics product pictures, it can even be a picture of the product you
took with your phone, just make sure the picture is very clear and professional
Use the promotional materials to advertise to your audience, you can use your
Whatsapp status, facebook, instagram or any means you want to use to reach
your audience.
But the best platform I will suggest is WhatsApp because its more effective,
later in this guide I recommend a guide to you that will teach you how to source
for your potential customers and sell effectively on WhatsApp…
Thats the blueprint that I and my students are using.
So when you advertise the product and you get someone that shows interest
and ready to buy the product
You will tell the person to pay upfront, then collect the shipping address where
the buyer will like the product to be deliver to, phone number, and every other
details that you think are neccessary.
What next?
Remove your profit from the money, then you pay the owner of the product the
price you agreed on, then provide shipping address, phone number and every
other neccesary details that you collected from your customer to the owner of
the products (Johnson).
Then the person will handle the delivery of the product down to your customer
doorstep while you enjoy your profits and continues looking for another
customer to place order amazing right?
Yes it is..
So what I explained above is just the simplex form of how dropshipping works
